A history tour last fall resulted in a book contract about Calhoun County for resident Darcy Maulsby.

Maulsby, a writer, marketing specialist and president of the Calhoun County Farm Bureau, said she has picked up all sorts of interesting tidbits about the county’s history since she began researching the county a few months ago.

“I’m excited to share this, because it’s a great story,” Maulsby said about the events and people that shaped Calhoun County.
