Complaint prompts look into Twin Lakes right-of-way

A complaint from a North Twin Lake resident about a neighbor’s windmill led to a broader discussion of the right-of-way around the lake at the July 21 Board of Supervisors meeting.
Supervisor Mike Cooper, who lives at Twin Lakes, first broached the topic several weeks ago, after being approached about a squeaky windmill on the lake’s east side. Cooper met with the windmill owner and the squeaking noise has been resolved, he said.
Two issues remain – one is a light the owner has since put on the windmill, which is also bothering neighbors. The second is part of a larger issue around the lake – structures built in the county’s road right-of-way.
