County revives Historical Preservation Commission

Five county residents, four of whom are from Lake City, have formed a new Calhoun County Historical Preservation Commission.
The Board of Supervisors approved the new commissioners – Nicholle Winters, Mitchell Lewis, Heather Snyder, Angela McCaulley and Dave Harden – at its June 23 meeting. Calhoun County Economic Development Council Executive Director Pamela Anderson said she sought volunteers for the commission, which had not been active for at least two years, on Facebook.
Previous commissioners were senior citizens, while the newer commissioners are several decades younger, she said.
