The Lohrville City Council prepped for the St. Patrick’s Day parade as well as gearing up springtime in its monthly meeting, held on March 12 at the JJ Hands Library Conference Room.
In a meeting that spanned an hour and 11 minutes, the council approved an amendment to the 2019 fiscal year budget, accepted the resignation of Lohrville Fire Chief Ron Christenson and discussed derelict buildings and the RV Ordinance.
After calling the meeting to order and approving the minutes, the council approved the resolution to amend the fiscal year budget, and moved to close First and Second Streets from Oak to Elm for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which was held this past Saturday.
The council then approved Resolution 19-09, which is the Mosquito Control of Iowa contract. It’ll start on June 1 and end on September 1.
