New Opportunities’ Rockwell City Family Development Center has a new spot for community residents to drop off donations.
Located in an alley to the north of the building, the organization has installed a 10-by-12-foot, double-door shed, thanks in part to a Calhoun County Community Foundation grant.
“This is the location for after-hours donations,” Heidi Billmeier said.
Often, people will leave their after-hours donations on the front steps, which blocks her doorway. That doorway is also an emergency exit for Kids Palace Daycare, which opened in the building a few months ago.
