Rockwell City swimming pool manager Leslie Stamp said community members are finding a lot to appreciate about the city pool this summer.
Specifically, she told Rockwell City City Council members July 2, people have told her about a few things that they think stand out about the pool.
“When we have bad weather and close, we come back and attempt to re-open,” Stamp said.
Community members also expressed appreciation for the pool’s hours and the opportunities for adult swim times. Stamp said she’s hoping to bring back a late-night adult swim that debuted a few years ago, then fizzled out because of declining attendance.
Stamp updated the council on what’s been happening at the pool this summer and brought a list of maintenance projects that she was hoping could be completed soon. In response to a question from the council, she confirmed that the pool heater was not working, but so far, that had not been a problem.
