South Central Calhoun’s hopes for a trip to the 2014 Class 1A football semifinals was dashed in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs as the Titans fell at Fort Dodge to the St. Edmond Gaels by a 35-13 final at Dodger Stadium to end the 2014 season at 8-4 overall.

“We had a great year,” said SCC head coach Bryan Case. “ Our kids came together and developed into a pretty good football team. Tonight just wasn't our night. The Gaels are good and they just wore us down.

“We had a tough time getting anything going offensively, and when we did, we just couldn't sustain that momentum for any extended period of time,” said Case. “To finish in the quarter-finals and the top eight of class 1A, was outstanding. Our seniors led us in the right direction and we now have something to build off of heading into the off-season. We'll have a lot of kids coming back next year, so we'll expect even bigger and better results in 2015. Our team would like to thank the "Titan Nation" for all of your support throughout the year.”
