South Central Calhoun Superintendent Jeff Kruse told the school board Aug. 15 school staff and an insurance agent have been trying to pin down the cause of mold in two girls’ locker rooms and the health occupation classroom, all located in basements.
Kruse said officials have discussed whether the mold somehow was the result of water leaking in to the building after the 2015 tornado, or whether it was related to the installation of air conditioning units in the building.
“What have we done that’s different?” Kruse said. “Was the building as dry as it should be?"
It may not have been, Kruse said.
