SCC wrestling completes busy week

South Central Calhoun’s varsity wrestling team completed a busy week on the mat as they participated in three events last week.

The Titans most recently went to the Central Springs round-robin tournament in Manly and won the tournament with 256 team points. The Titans had three wrestlers take first place at the meet including Colin Corey (120), Zayne Barrett (182) and Aron King (285). Placing second at Manly for SCC were Caleb Maguire (152), Jeff King (160), Tyler Kutz (170) and Jesse Casey (220).

The Titans started out the week by participating in a quadrangular meet at Humboldt, Tuesday, Dec. 10, and went 2-1 as a team as they defeated East Sac County 78-0 and Ridge View 56-16 while falling to Humboldt 57-15.
