St. Anthony Auxiliary Installs Officers for 2018

The St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary began the New Year with installation of officers. Serving as 2018 co-presidents are Diane Hannasch and Twilla Hoffman; Pat Hill and Mary Macke; Pat Louis and Michele Phillips; Jan Potthoff and Linda Wernimont. Treasurer is Judy Mayer; recording secretary is Carolyn Ehlers.
The hospital Auxiliary provides many services for patients and visitors to St. Anthony. The most recognizable is the Coffee and Gift Shop which serves food and has a wide selection of gift items.
Auxiliary members also staff the visitor reception desk in the atrium and surgery center, assist with clerical duties in hospital departments, and help coordinate community blood drives.
Many Auxiliary members offer their time and talent knitting or crocheting so that every baby born at St. Anthony goes home with a handmade blanket. In addition, as part of the spiritual care program, patients are comforted with handmade prayer shawls made by Auxiliary members.
“Serving as a St. Anthony Auxiliary member is a rewarding, fun experience,” said Twilla Hoffman, Co-chair. “There are a variety of areas to volunteer, so you can always find something that aligns with your personal interests, plus there’s always an opportunity to meet new people. Best of all, serving as a volunteer is a great way to give back to our community and make a difference locally.”
