Titans advance five to district meet

Five South Central Calhoun wrestlers will be seeking 2016 Class 1A state wrestling tournament berths next Saturday, Feb. 13, in Manson beginning at noon.
The Titans advanced Chase McAlister (132), Jordon Payne (145), Brody Goodman (152), Ty Riley (195) and Rylan Richardson (220) from Class 1A, Sectional 5 wrestling tournament Saturday, Feb. 6, in Ida Grove.
Both Riley and Richardson were tournament champions while McAlister, Payne and Goodman advanced as second place finishers.
