Titans hit 11 three-pointers, top ACGC 57-43

South Central Calhoun’s varsity boys basketball team got off to a fast start in its opening round of the Class 2A, District 15 quarterfinal round of the playoffs Monday, Feb. 13 in Rockwell City as the Titans knocked off Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center (ACGC) by a 57-43 final to advance in post-season play.
The Titans hit 11 three-point goals against the Chargers led by seniors A.J. Neubaum and Jonas Otto with four three-pointers each. Neubaum had a game-high 21 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the floor including 4-for-5 from three-point range. Jonas Otto was 4-for-9 from three-point range and finished with 16 points in the win.
Kody Case added 10 points, eight assists and three steals against ACGC. Scoring three points each for the Titans were Jared Birks and Andrew Gray while Lucas Otto and Brendan Henkelman had two points apiece.
