Virgil D. Zimmerman

Virgil D. Zimmerman, age 96, of Carroll, IA passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden with Pastor Alan Miller officiating. Friends called at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5:00 P.M. on Thursday where there was a prayer service held at 7:00 P.M. The casket was moved to Peace Lutheran Church at 8:30 A.M. on Friday where visitation resumed until the time of service. Organist for the service was Becky Miller. Casket bearers were Danny Tigges, Gene Wiederin, Bob Anderson, Jim Zimmerman, Dave Hill, and Gary Tiefenthaler. Honorary casket bearers were Virgil’s grandchildren. Burial was in the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden.
