Clinic to honor late firefighter

Kylie and Nick Hildreth always talked about building their own clinic in Rockwell City.
Both grew up in the area and went to school here. Last year, Nick Hildreth, a volunteer Rockwell City firefighter, died in an accident.
Kylie Hildreth said she decided not to let their dreams die with him.
“I decided I would do this to honor him,” she said.
A literal sign on a corner lot in downtown Rockwell City, at the intersection of Fourth and Court streets, was “a sign from heaven” to get her to take the first step, Hildreth said. She and Nick had spoken previously about wanting that empty lot, which the city owned, for a clinic, but they had never seen a for sale sign there.
