One of the men accused of having contraband at the North Central Correctional Facility last year pleaded guilty to that charge earlier this month.

Aundrey Roberts, 39, pleaded guilty Jan. 9 to one count of possessing electronic contraband in a correctional facility. Judge William Ostlund sentenced Roberts to five years incarceration, to run consecutive with Roberts’ previous sentence, according to court records available online.

Under Iowa Code, possessing electronic contraband is a class D felony, punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of $750 to $7,500. Ostlund waived the fines for Roberts.
