A large donation to the Lake City Pool Project has been made by the Dial family of Lake City in honor of the late Jane (Loeck) Dial and the late Gerald Dial, both of whom died in December of last year.

The family decided a fitting way to honor Jane and Gerald would be to grant any memorial donations back to their community.  Because of matching funds from the Bernau family and the Dial family itself, contributions went a long way in funding various organizations in town.  The Lake City Pool Project will receive $7,500.

"Together with my mother (Alice Ann Dial, Gerald's wife), siblings, and my sons, we agreed that one of the interests that was strong in our family was the quality of the swimming pool," says Dwight Dial, Jane's husband.  "We thought keeping a good pool in Lake City was very important."
