Lake City pool opens

With fanfare and cheers, the Lake City community turned out Friday afternoon to celebrate the opening of the town's swimming pool. Dozens of children and parents splashed into the water after a short ceremony. State Farm Insurance agent Tracy Wetter presented a ceremonial check for $25,000, a grant to the pool project from the State Farm Neigbhorhood Assist Program. Then pool project members cut a red ribbon, officially opening the pool.
