Weiss opens ‘take and bake’ business for homecooked meals

Donna Weiss is a busy woman, and with her own schedule in mind, she’s launched a new business aimed at helping to free up other families and senior citizens with homecooked meals that come prepackaged and prepared.
Weiss, who farms with her family in rural Calhoun County and works full-time at the Farm Service Agency in Rockwell City, launched WLC Country Cuisine on January 2. It started about a year ago, when Weiss began putting together seasoning mixes for a coworker with seven children who could never quite order or cook a meal that made everyone happy.
