Titans fall to Madrid at home, 56-40

High-octane offense was on display for both South Central Calhoun and Madrid in an important Class 1A, District 7 showdown Friday, Oct. 10, in Lake City.

The teams combined for an incredible 944 total yards of offense while it was Madrid’s sophomore running back Michael Santi who put on the biggest offensive display as he carried the ball 17 times for 339 yards rushing and six touchdown scores as the Tigers defeated the Titans 56-40 in an offensive shoot out.

Madrid moved to 2-2 in district play and are now 5-2 overall while the Titans slipped to 2-2 in the district play and are 4-3 overall with two weeks to go.
